This tour gives you the opportunity to visit the heavenly mountains of Kyrgyzstan and 2 the most marvelous lakes. At first you will see our famous Son Kul Lake that is situated on the altitude of 3016 m. a. s. l. You will sleeps in yurts as nomads did for many years and it is a great chance to find out more about Kyrgyz life! Afterwards you will visit the largest Issyk Kul Lake that is surrounded by mountains of Terskey and Kungey Ala - Too.
Tour summary:
Day 4: Tash Rabat - Kochkor valley
After strengthening breakfast you will be transferred to Kochkor village (185 km). At the Kochkorka village you will meet a family that shows you the way of how national woolen felt carpets are produced. You even can create your own carpet. You will have a traditional dinner with a local family, accompanied by a special national music show. Overnight is in the Kochkor Guesthouse.
Day 5: Kochkor valley - Tamga village
You will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock. Then you will be transferred (200 km) to the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake, the second largest alpine lake in the world (1608m.above sea level). The Lake is also called "the pearl of Central Asia". On the way you will drive through the gorgeous valley and you will pass the Orto Tokoi reservoir. As soon as we are in Tamga Village you will have a rest on the southern beach of the lake where you can lie on the warm sand or swim in the lake. Thanks to the salty water, Lake Issyk Kul possesses curative qualities. Your dinner will be served at 7 p.m. in Tamga Guesthouse, where you will also spend the night.
Day 6: Tamga - Karakol
Breakfast is at 8 o'clock in the morning. Till 12 p.m. you have free time to swim in the lake After that you will start your trip (50km) to Karakol city by vehicle. In Karakol you will take lunch. Then you will have a guided Karakol sightseeing tour. This tour includes the visit of the Dungan mosque. One of its highlights is the fact that it is built without using a single metal nail in Chinese style. This will be followed by the visit of the old wooden Holy Trinity Cathedral. Later, you will visit the museum of Prejvalsky, one of the world's greatest explores. His biggest achievements were the crossing of the great desert Taklamakan and the discovery of more than 4000 animals, including the Horse of Prejevalsky. At 8 p.m. it will be national dinner. Overnight is in the Guesthouse.
