Tour summary:
Day 1: Almaty - Issyk Lake - Almaty
We are happy to see our dear guests on Kazakhstan diamond 8. When you arrive at the airport you will travel to Issyk gorge via the Kuldja tract. Visit the State Historical and Cultural Museum Reserve "ISSYK" dedicated to the history and culture of the Saka period, including a copy of Golden Man and golden items, ancient ceramics, weapon, elements of horse equipment, as well as the model of Saka burial mound. Travel to an altitude of 1756 meters above sea level and see the mountain Issyk Lake, appeared due to colossal landslide and formed the natural dam of 300 meters in height. You will be impressed by its surface on tours. Transfer to the hotel for sleep.
Day 2: Almaty - Altyn Emel
Drive to the Altyn Emel National Park and visit the Singing Dune of height - 120 meters and a length of about 3 km, located on the Altyn Emel National Park. You will find it "singing" in windy weather as the organ music. In sandy storm the dune sounds like a drum. From the top of the Dune you can observe the grand panorama and take incredible photos. Travelling to the south you can see the Ili River and purple mountains of Sogety and Boguty with the white peaks of the Ketmen ridge. On the west the horizon here is the Big Kalkan and the Small Kalkan - from the east. In the north see the violet-blue ridge of Jungar Alatau mountains, Chulak mountain, Matai and Altyn Emel are visible. Drive to Altyn Emel hotel. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 3: Altyn Emel
In the morning you will travel to Katutau and Aktau mountains which are ancient mountains with preserved volcanic outputs. On arrival, you will be impressed by various shapes of rocks and capture it on tours. Alluvial rock of the bottom of the ancient Tethys Ocean is well-looked-after there. Aktau Mountains (White Mountains) are defined to be paleontological field with remains of ancient animals of 25-30 million years old. Here you will see remains the giant rhinos, crocodiles, turtles as well as huge conical mountains remind the Egyptian pyramids. Return to Altyn Emel hotel. Nigh is in a hotel.
Day 4: Altyn Emel - Charyn Canyon - Saty
We are glad to present the next day of visiting the Ash tree Grove located on the Temerlik River reaching of the Charyn River and its stream Temirlik where past species of Sogdian Ash tree are growing. Some botanists believe that these trees are more a thousand years old. We will transfer to Charyn Canyon and get impression of their different shape. It originated during Paleogene and looks like the Grand Canyon of Colorado River in North America because of size. The site was formed by the beautiful "Valley of Castles", surrounded by sedimentary rocks. In the end of day we will drive to Saty village. Overnight is in a guest house.
Day 5: Saty - Kolsai lakes - Saty
This day of tour will start by seeing Kolsai Lakes or "Pearls of the Northern Tien-Shan". They have three lakes. On arrival, you will be impressed by the abundance of mushrooms. Being on Kolsay 3 Lake, you can enjoy trekking. You will go via pine forest, alpine meadows along pure mountain river and see Kolsai 2 Lake. The total distance is about 7 km and usually takes 3-3,5 hours one way. If you hike for more than 400 m, from 1818 m above sea level you can see the first lake to 2250 m at the second lake. They are famous for healing properties and just one of the best places for rest. We will drive to Saty settlement. Overnight is in a guest house.
Day 6: Saty - Kaindy Lake - Almaty
After breakfast we will travel to Kaindy lake or birch lake which is located among splendid pine forest at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level formed in 1911 due to the big earthquake and created the natural dam with amazing valley. The water of the lake is very cold and not good for swimming. Walking among incredible valley you will breathe fresh air and remember this time for a long time. Green meadows, trees, flowers and simply nature will not leave anyone indifferent. After productive day, you will return to Almaty. Night is in a hotel. It is no doubt you liked our tours.
Day 7: Flight
Transfer to the airport and departure. Kazakhstan diamond 8 is over.
