Tour summary:
Day 1: Dushanbe
Tajikistan diamond 7 is happy to see you. Our driver will meet you in the airport and accompany to Dushanbe. The day is dedicated to a guided city tour. We will visit Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament. Then walk in National park to see the Ministry of Inner Affairs and the biggest National Flag in the world - 165 m high pole, 30 m wide, 60 m long. In the afternoon, we will visit the Central Museum and Gurminj Museum of traditional musical instruments. Don't miss to visit the Asian bazar and find colorful goods. Night is in a hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe - Norak - Kalai Khum
In the morning we will drive to Kalai Khum village. On the way you are going to see the Norak water reservoir or simply Tajik Sea. Passing over the Shuraba pass (2 267 m) you will drive along Afghanistan border. It is the already Territory of Pamir Mountains. The Pamirs have enthused the world's greatest explorers as Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, Mirza Muhammad Haidar. Then you will drive to the Pyanj River and see the ocean of white and blue mountains. Night is in homestay.
Day 3: Kalai Khum - Khorog
We will drive to Khorog. It is the smallest city on the map of the world enclosed by rocky mountains. You will see the 3 rivers where Shokhdara river and Ghund river flow into Pyanj river. In addition, you will meet Pamir people with blonde hair, fair skin and blue eyes. They will not leave you indifferent. Pamirs Mountains are the uppermost mountains in the world with human population after the Himalayas in Tibet. For sure you will be impressed on tours. Night is in a guesthouse.
Day 4: Khorog
Today you will have a guided city tour. First of all we will visit the Botanical Garden surrounded by many gardens. Above the east part of the city at an altitude of 2320m above sea level on the coastal zone of the Shakhdara River is placed the renowned Pamir Botanical Garden with exclusive plants. We will visit city park and handicraft shop, museum as well as a local bazar. We will see today the main highlights of Khorog and get interesting facts about Pamirian people. Rest is in guesthouse.
Day 5: Khorog - Kalai Khum
Today we will pass from Khorog to Kalai Khum where we can see the high rocky mountains over 6 000 meters and only 1 road was possible to be made. Travelers will be impressed by the unique nature of high passes and take outstanding photos on tours. It is worth traveling I Tajikistan and see it by own eyes. The special landscape will not leave anyone indifferent on tours. On the way we will stop in small villages to communicate with local people and to see their lifestyle. Here green meadows on both sides of the river in narrow mountain valleys will catch your attention. Night is in a home stay.
Day 6: Kalai Khum - Khoburubot - Dushanbe
We will drive to Dushanbe via mountain road over high Khoburubot Pass (3 252) or Western Pamir Tract. The road goes via the most picturesque river valley and amazing gorges in the terrain. It is best for photos and relaxation. We will see small villages and meet local people. They are open minded and ready to treat travelers with open heart. They respect its traditions and folklore. In addition, they are lovers of exotics and impressed by the beauty of wild nature. Night is in a hotel.
Day 7: Dushanbe - Khujand
In the morning we will drive to Khujand city. You will pass over Anzob pass (3 372 m) and capture startling panorama views. Khujand is the second largest city of Tajikistan which is located on the Syr Darya River on the Fergana Valley. The population of the city is 149,000 and defined to be the capital of the northernmost province of Tajikistan - Sughd. In the afternoon you can visit the Cultural Palace of Khujant where the first president of Tajikistan was elected. In addition, visit the Central Mosque. Transfer to a hotel for rest.
Day 8: Flight
In the morning is transfer to the airport. Tajikistan diamond 7 is finished.
